It’s been a while since I’ve written here. Hope you folks had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well as an awesome Black Friday!
I will openly admit that rarely do I ever buy for others on Black Friday. But something tells me that we’re almost all in the same boat. I mean, it’s one of the only times you can buy high-end products for relatively half it’s amount.
So guilt aside-
Today I wanted to do a Black Friday Haul post!
Some of these products I have used and highly recommend. Others I have seen so many good reviews on that I wanted to try for myself. I literally waited till Black Friday to purchase these, as all products listed are higher-end makeup.
Without further ado, lets get into them!
Black Friday Haul 2017
1. Boscia Luminizing Black Mask
My little sister bought this product a while back with tremendous results. So this is a re-buy of an already great product. Skin care is extremely important when it comes to avid make-up wearers. You need a great canvas. I use a mask once a week to keep my skin well hydrated and glowy. This is my go-to mask.
2. Make-Up Forever Ultra HD Foundation
This is my go-to foundation. I bought alongside to this Giorgio Armani’s Luminious Silk Foundation ($62, I know!), but ended up returning it. There’s something missing in it that I didn’t want to bother figuring it out. So I stuck back to my trusty foundation.
What I love about this product is its medium coverage. It doesn’t look cakey and with a little water from my beauty blender transforms my skin dewy. I like my foundation more dewy than matte. This foundation never fails me.
3. Make-Up Forever Pro Finish Powder Foundation
“OH MY GOD THIS!”
That was the reaction when I first used it. Never in my life have I ever used a finishing powder and to that I will say to you folks, USE A FINISHING POWDER! Its like the final gloss to your face.
My bestie had this, so I thought let me try it. Talk about filtered and flawless. It provides that pregnancy glow that people are like “you look good, but I can’t pinpoint what”. I got so many compliments from people on my makeup application and hands down I believe that it was because of having the right finishing powder. I apply this specifically to the areas that I highlight; my undereyes, nosebridge and chin. So the powder is in a shade lighter from my base foundation.
4. Stila Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
We can all agree that prayer is usually warranted prior to doing your eyeliner. Watching beauty guru’s whose wings are always cut, I noticed almost all of them would use a pen-type eyeliner. The tip is really sharp to give that precision on the wing and brush is thin to control the size of the liner. So I ended up buying one for myself.
I chose this one from STILA and it works wonders. With so much control its like calligraphy on your eye. I would recommend any fine tip precision pen for those fierce cuts. Another brand that works well is Kat Von D’s Tattoo Eyeliner
5. Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow Set
I was drawn to Stila through their liquid eyeshadow, which at this point are outmatched. So much so that other brands are coming out with cheaper dupe versions. One STILA Liquid Eye Shadow retails for $24! So when the sale came up for a set I did not hesitate to buy these at $45.
What makes them amazing is that they are highly pigmented on application and wears extraordinary throughout the day. Its worn mainly for glamorous occasions. For everyday, not so much. And with the holiday season coming up, I thought I’d be creative and put these to use. So be on the lookout for future holiday looks using the set.
There it is!
I hope you enjoyed taking a look into my haul and just wanted to say that I’m very grateful for you folks for checking out my page. Means alot. I’ll see you beauties next time.
